I’ve had the privilege of being on both sides of a consultation—as a patient and as a surgeon—and know just how exciting, daunting, and life-changing the process can be. I started my practice over a decade ago feeling certain that the greatest mark I could make in the world was with complex reconstruction. I now know the greatest, most joyful impact I can have is with cosmetic surgery. There’s a painful dissonance that develops when what we see in the mirror doesn’t match how we feel on the inside—cosmetic surgery can sometimes help shorten that distance and alleviate some of that discomfort. When I see a person smile or walk differently because of the way plastic surgery has made them feel... that’s the best part of my professional life. Doing so in an environment full of the kind, supportive, exceptional, and caring professionals at Amelia makes it even better.

I also believe in collaboration, as it’s the core of medicine and success in the operating room. I’ve had the privilege of training and working with two former presidents of The American Society of Plastic Surgery and the former president of The Rhinoplasty Society. I also served as the Chief Resident at Baylor University and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
