Dr. Marcos Lopez
I didn’t always know I wanted to be a plastic surgeon. I grew up in a small town in Texas with no medical role models. I’ve always loved math, science, and 3D problem-solving.
However, it wasn’t until I became a tutor to support myself in college that I found a passion for teaching, communication, and finding ways to make complicated information easy for people to understand. When I realized that doctors get to use these skills to directly help others, I knew it was the path for me.
I enjoy understanding the patient’s goals and anatomy to create a personalized surgical plan. I’m grateful to be a part of Amelia where patient education and communication are valued. My goal is to create an environment where patients feel comfortable and informed to make decisions that best fit their lives.
