About This Role

We’re looking for a creative and data-savvy Email Marketing Specialist who’s excited to blend traditional email marketing with smart automation and emerging AI capabilities. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll own the strategy and execution of our email and SMS campaigns, using data and AI tools to deliver more personalized, timely, and engaging messages.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to experiment, iterate, and scale campaigns that drive action. You’ll use automation platforms, segmentation logic, and AI-enhanced tools for testing, optimization, and performance analysis. Your efforts will directly impact how we build relationships with patients and surgeons.

Responsibilities

  • Own execution of email campaigns using the Drip marketing automation platform, integrating AI-driven workflows for dynamic content, real-time personalization, and automated triggers.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, design, product, and data) to create impactful email and SMS marketing campaigns for various customer segments.
  • Run A/B and multivariate testing using AI-enhanced tools that optimize subject lines, send times, and content variants based on real-time performance data.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure all KPIs are tracked, analyzed, and used to optimize campaign performance.
  • Champion best practices while developing, managing, and tracking email and SMS campaigns to ensure high-quality, on-brand messaging that aligns with business goals and audience segmentation.
  • Create and maintain central email documentation (ClickUp calendars, trackers, performance reports).
  • Conduct QA testing across devices and inboxes using tools like Litmus or Email on Acid, paired with AI-based render analysis and deliverability checks.
  • Manage segmentation with automated audience clustering, leveraging both historical and real-time behavioral data to dynamically target users.
  • Contribute to campaign ideation and creative development with AI-assisted content tools that generate, refine, and test messaging variations at scale.
  • Help optimize campaign processes and continuously improve customer journey mapping for both email and SMS marketing.

Skills and Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in email marketing or CRM.
  • Strong experience with Drip marketing automation platform (preferred) or other marketing automation platforms.
  • Proficient in email and SMS marketing best practices, deliverability, and regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM and TCPA for SMS).
  • Ability to create and edit on-brand imagery using Photoshop and similar design tools (e.g., Canva, Figma), with a strong eye for visual consistency and brand alignment.
  • Exceptional copywriting and editing skills with attention to tone, clarity, and grammar
  • Experience and eagerness to explore and experiment with AI tools to enhance email marketing strategy, content creation, personalization, and performance optimization.
  • Proven track record of A/B testing, analyzing campaign results, and using insights from data and AI-assisted tools to optimize email performance.
  • Hands-on experience with email QA tools like Litmus or Email on Acid.
  • Familiarity with lifecycle marketing, loyalty programs, and email automation strategies.
  • Solid project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple email campaigns simultaneously.
  • Preferred experience in the agency and/or healthcare industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional teams such as design, product, and engineering.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace productivity tools (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet).
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to innovate in a dynamic environment.
