Gynecomastia is a condition that causes breast tissue to enlarge in men. It can affect one or both breasts and occur at any age. Gynecomastia can be caused by hormonal imbalances, certain medications, or weight gain. It’s almost certainly more common than most people realize. 

Gynecomastia surgery removes excess glandular tissue, fat, and/or skin to create a more defined and toned chest contour. Your surgeon may use liposuction to remove excess fat, excision to remove glandular tissue, or a combination of both. In some cases, excess skin may also be removed.
