Health Coaching is seen by many as one of the missing links in health care. It is dedicated 1:1 time with a member of your care team who serves as your resource for personalized education and solutions. You and your health coach will work together to develop strategies and tools to fit your lifestyle, as well as provide ongoing accountability and support while on this journey to the best version of you! Your Health Coach doesn’t ask “What's wrong with you?” but instead, "What's strong with you?”
Yes! Amelia Health will offer HRT (hormone replacement therapy), including different forms of bio-identical estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. You and your provider will have the opportunity to discuss these options in person during your first appointment.
Yes! Amelia Health will offer GLP-1s as well as other peptides for wellness and longevity. We also assist patients in weaning off GLP-1s once they have reached their goals.
If you are ready to start your journey, it begins with filling out some brief paperwork and a 20(ish) minute onboarding call. After the call, we’ll order your comprehensive, personalized labs. We will also schedule your first in-person Amelia Health visit.
Yes! We would love to see you at Amelia Health before or after your plastic surgery journey. We can help patients achieve ideal body composition and be nutritionally optimized for healing and recovery. Postoperatively, we are happy to assist you with care that helps you maintain and further optimize your results.
The onboarding call is a brief 20-minute phone call that gives you an opportunity to share your goals and concerns, review some of your medical history, and for us to answer any questions you have about our process. If you wish to proceed with care, we’ll end the phone call by ordering your labs and scheduling your first appointment with an Amelia Health provider!
Before your onboarding call, we ask that you send your most recent lab work. After reviewing them, we will let you know if additional labs are needed.
We encourage you to maintain your relationships with your primary care provider and any specialists. Our goal is to be an adjunct to your existing primary, preventative, and specialty care—so you can spend more days feeling better and, if possible, less time in doctors' offices!
Amelia Health is not in network with any insurance. Some of your labs may be covered under your individual policy. Please check with your insurance carrier for full details on coverage.
You are welcome to use your HSA card at Amelia Health. Please note that while some HSAs allow you to pay for your care here, others may not. Should they decline your charge, they will contact you directly and request back pay. Your HSA may allow you to use funds to pay for labs, medications, or supplements. Check with your HSA administrator for full details on what they allow.
No, Amelia Health does not offer pediatric care. Amelia Health only specializes in adult care at this time. For children under the age of 18, we recommend Dr. Joe Hummel at Prime MD in Raleigh. He is a wonderful and caring physician able to care for adults and children.
Yes! Amelia Health sees both women and men!
We understand some patients may be interested in GLP-1 medication only. At Amelia Health, GLP-1 prescriptions, when used, are always integrated into a comprehensive and individualized plan that includes lab review, health coaching, and follow-up care. This ensures your safety, optimizes results, and helps you feel your best!
