A Note From Dr. Anthony Azzolini

It’s incredibly rewarding to be a part of your journey as you unleash your natural confidence. We all have insecurities, and I love that I can help people feel amazing when they look in the mirror. I’ve had the immense pleasure of training under world-class aesthetic plastic surgeons at the University of Louisville, and am thrilled to bring that level of care to Wilmington. Outside the operating room, my wife and I enjoy making pizza from scratch with our two children and two dogs.

Dr. Azzolini's Background

Dr. Azzolini’s background reflects years of advanced surgical training across general and plastic surgery, giving him a comprehensive understanding of both the technical and functional aspects of care. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and is eligible for certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

His experience spans a wide range of reconstructive and aesthetic procedures, supported by a strong foundation in clinical research and academic medicine. He has held multiple leadership and teaching roles, including Clinical Instructor and Administrative Chief, where he helped guide surgical education and patient care standards.

education & experience

Dr. Azzolini earned his Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He then completed a rigorous general surgery residency at Rutgers–Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he also served as a Clinical Instructor and Wellness Chief. In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Azzolini completed a dedicated research fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

He went on to complete his plastic surgery training through the Independent Plastic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Louisville. During his time there, he served as Administrative Chief of Plastic Surgery, reflecting both his leadership and clinical excellence.
